2018 Public School Review Report

Following the school's successful completion of the Public Schools Review process earlier this term, I am delighted to present the final report to all parents.

The new Public Schools Review process ensures all Western Australian public schools are reviewed every three years by the Department of Education’s Public School Accountability directorate and gives assurance to the local community, the Minister for Education and Training and the Director General that the school is operating effectively and delivering high quality education to its students. The review process also acknowledges the achievements of the school and gives feedback to support the principal and staff with their improvement planning.

The review process rates schools as 'Effective' or 'Needs Improvement' and is based on information gained from a self-assessment submission and the validation process across key areas of school performance including:
  • Relationships and Partnerships
  • Learning Environment
  • Leadership
  • Use of Resources
  • Teaching Quality
  • Student Achievement and Progress
As detailed in the 2018 Public School Review report for Mundaring PS, the school has been rated as 'Effective' meaning that 'The school demonstrates effective practice in creating the conditions required for student success.'.

Parents are invited to peruse the final report and contact me if they would like clarification on any aspect of the Public Schools Review for our highly effective school.
